The property is the fruit of labor.. property is desirable.. is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise.Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built" ABRAHAM LINCOLN(1864) |
When we were at school we were taught to sing the songs of the Europeans. How many of us were taught the songs of the Wanyamwezi or of the Wahehe? Many of us have learnt to dance the rumba, or the cha cha, to rock and roll and to twist and even to dance the waltz and foxtrot. But how many of us can dance, or have even heard of the gombe sugu, the mangala, nyang umumi, kiduo, or lele mama?(J. K. NYERERE) |
